Parcelforce Worldwide is a UK logistics and courier service in the UK, and part of the Royal Mail Trading Group.
Royal mail was separated into three divisions in 1986, and in 1990 Royal Mail Parcels were re-branded as Parcelforce.
Parcelforce offers many different services such as Next Day, Next Day AM, Same Day, and 2 working day services all within the UK. All of its collections and deliveries are operated through a network of 53 local depots.
Parcelforce also offers European and Worldwide services and can deliver parcels to many places in Europe by 10:30am the following day, and by 12pm to USA and Canada. Its European delivery partner which is also part of Royal Mail is called GLS, or General Logistics Systems.
Of the 2 main hubs that Parcelforce operate, the largest (the UK hub) covers 43 acres and can handle up to 40,000 parcels every hour.
